How can the most serious diseases been prevented and why science does not make an effort to eradicate them?

Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn exclaimed: “I still caress the dream I had when I started these investigations; to be able to show that the main cause of death of the occidental civilization can been defeated through a mere vegetable diet. But we can still do more. If advertising accepted that way of preventing illnesses, if millions of Americans put an end to their toxic diet and learnt to feed themselves in a healthy way, ,we could fight the majority of diseases which are chiefly caused by the feverish consumerism: apoplexy (stroke), high blood pressure, obesity, osteoporosis and diabetes. Likewise, we could significantly reduce breast, prostate, intestinal and colorectal cancer as well as cancers of the uterus and ovary. Science could set aside medicaments, tablets and surgical procedures. Prevention and surgical operations would not be the order of the day.”

And, why science does not make an effort to do this?

Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn answers: “I asked a heart specialist, specialized in surgical procedures why he did not prescribe their patients a nutritional program that could stop or even reverse the illness. He frankly answered: “Did you know that in the last year I had to pay bills with a value of more than 5,000,000 dollars?”

Quotations extracted from the book “Preventing and reverting heart diseases” by Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn.

Dr. Esselstyn was named one of the best doctors in the United States in 1994/1995. He was the one who led the former president of the United States, Bill Clinton to follow a vegan diet.
