Erectile dysfunction, cardiac coronary disease, and premature death – Dr. Michael Greger MD explains their connection through his research

40 % of men older than 40 years old suffer from erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence.

Usually, cardiac coronary disease is associated with impotence because the underlying arteriosclerosis is affecting all the blood vessels within the body.

The cholesterol levels found in younger subjects can predict a posterior impotence caused by a coronary disease that can be potentially lethal.

Note: The research conducted by Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn proved that a healthy vegan diet low in fat will prevent coronary disease almost completely.

A diet high in protein and fat increases the risk of type 2 diabetes
Researchers examined 66,485 women in the study “E3N – European Prospective Investigation in Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC)” in a period of time of 14 years. Women who ate on meat and carbohydrates rich products had a 56% risk for getting diabetes compared to women who ate on much fruit and vegetables.
